Providence Day School is proud to announce the appointment of Kristen Montgomery as the Interim Head Coach of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team. Coach Montgomery assumes the role following Coach Katherine Currier’s decision to step down last month.

A familiar and respected leader within the Providence Day tennis program, Coach Montgomery has served as an assistant coach for the past two seasons, playing a key role in the team’s success both on and off the court. Her passion for the sport, commitment to student-athlete development, and enthusiasm for building a championship culture have made a lasting impact on the program.

Throughout her time at Providence Day, Coach Montgomery has established meaningful relationships with players and families while helping cultivate an environment centered on growth, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence. Her leadership, knowledge of the program, and dedication to the Chargers make her exceptionally well-positioned to guide the team into its next chapter.

As Interim Head Coach, Coach Montgomery will continue to build on the strong foundation of Providence Day Girls Tennis while inspiring student-athletes to compete with confidence, integrity, and excellence.
