The Providence Day School Girls Soccer Program is dedicated to developing strong
young women through the sport of soccer. Character education will occur both on and off
the field. The Chargers are dedicated to building on previous years successes through
hard work, commitment to excellence and growing the teams’ love and passion for the
sport of soccer. The primary goal of our Girls Soccer program is to continue to develop
and support each student-athlete to reach her full athletic potential in order to succeed at
any level of high school and college competition. Our program offers PDS players the
opportunity to compete daily in an environment that supports the highest levels of
commitment, personal growth, respect, enthusiasm, integrity, and excellence. The
ultimate goal is to instill a passion for the sport of soccer and an understanding that the
characteristics associated with success on the playing field transition perfectly to success
in everyday life. Providence Day School Girls Soccer is committed to developing
confident, strong, and dynamic young women through the great game of soccer.
Teamwork, dedication, hard work, and family are stressed daily through workouts,
practices, games and team building activities. This is a program not focused on winning
only, but committed to fostering the growth and development of its student-athletes.
PDS Soccer aims to instill the following values in their athletes:
(1) Be honest with others, and be true to yourself (2) Help others (3) Make each day your
masterpiece (4) If you’re not going forward you’re going backwards (5) Positive attitude
and body language matter (6) Perseverance, never ever give up (7) Enjoy the moment and
have fun.
The PDS Soccer Program Motto is “Together we Believe!”
