Coach Biography
Stephen Copeland is an author and storyteller who has been coaching golf in Charlotte for a decade. He began coaching at Providence Day in 2019 and loves using golf as a tool for teaching presence, acceptance, self-compassion, and leadership. A Hoosier native, he played competitive golf at Grace College (2007-2011).Â

The Girls Varsity Golf team is comprised of 7th-12th graders who are looking to improve their skills in a competitive environment. The program was founded by Linda Jochim (1949-2018), who led the Chargers to a state championship in 2015. The team competes in the NCISAA along with all other varsity sports at Providence Day.
