Manager of the Year-  the student (or students) who contribute to a team sometimes ‘behind the scenes’ by assisting both coaches and team: Jennah Abdul-Rahim

Fan of the Year- a fan or fans who contributed in a positive, spirited manner throughout the year: Kirk Grace & Rush Adams

Unsung Hero Award- presented to the senior female and male student-athlete who continuously performed at an exemplary level  and made a substantive contribution to their sport despite limited recognition: Jack Langston & Audrey Glosson

Spirit of PD Award- presented to a male and female senior athlete who have promoted a healthy, competitive spirit for all our Charger athletic teams. These individuals display the values that former Athletic Director and Coach, Barbara Fricke, emphasized; perseverance, loyalty, integrity, honor, selflessness, and teamwork, values that go well beyond the athletic arena: Harry O’Neil & Rebecca James

Impact Player of the Year Award- presented to a senior female and male student athlete whose effort is representative of playing for the love of the game and contributes significantly to overall development and growth of his or her sport and whose contributions have a major impact on the team’s success: Nick Hailey, Lucy Dyer & Blane McElroy

Underclassman of the Year Award- given to the female and male student-athlete whose overall performance on one or more teams made a significant impact to that program: Gordon Sellars, Zetta Grace Bartee & Jane Updyke

Charger Athlete of the Year Award- recognizes the “best all around” female and male athlete. It is awarded to a senior who exemplifies good sportsmanship, leadership and outstanding athletic abilities: Aiden Ray, Granger Bartee & Marlo Stuart

Academic Athlete of the Year Award- the most prestigious athletic award given to a female and male senior student athlete at Providence Day School. It represents a student who has exceptional abilities both in the classroom, on the field, court, or in the pool in addition to outstanding multi-sport participation: Anish Vedantham & Emma Grace Sachar

Outstanding Play/Moment of the Year Award- given to the female or male student-athlete whose one performance during an event “took your breath away”:
Girls Lacrosse State Championship – Girls Lacrosse defeated Charlotte Country Day in Overcash Stadium on Saturday, May 17th to capture their first ever NCISAA State Championship. Not only was this final day of the 24-25 athletic year but this was also the last event for Head Trainer John Erb as he heads into retirement.
Aiden Ray, State Championship Track Meet – Aiden racked up a total of 40 points by himself at the NCISAA State Finals Meet on Saturday, May 17th, 2025. Aiden collected 4 State Titles (LJ, TJ, 100H, 300H) and set two meet records in the 100H and 300H. Aiden’s performance is the second greatest PD performance all-time behind the Olympian, Anna Cockrell.

Coach of the Year Award- presented to the coach who embodies the Providence Day mission and empowers their athletes to develop and grow in all aspects of life: Nicole Donoghue (Girls Lacrosse)
